After the wash.I was looking at some of these quilts on other blogs and flicker and loved the idea of the quilt being almost finished after the scraps are stitched on. Because you sew through the top fabric, batting and backing while you apply the scraps, the only thing left to do is to bind it. It's such a girly quilt. I think I'm going to hang it in Ava and Allie's new bedroom.
